Paying cleaners is the most reliably annoying recurring task in property management. The work is done in ones and twos across a week, the amounts vary by property, and the payment happens later — usually on a Sunday evening, from memory, against a list somebody assembled from messages.
The cost is not only the hour it takes. Cleaners chase, payments get missed, and reliable people leave for operators who pay promptly — which in a market where good cleaners are the scarcest resource in the business is an expensive thing to be casual about.
Connecting Stripe closes the loop. A cleaner marks the job complete, the payment goes at the rate you configured for that property, and an expense record is created against it. Nobody assembles a list, nobody chases, and the books reflect what happened rather than what someone remembered.
Cleaners link their own Stripe accounts, so you are not holding anyone’s bank details. Stripe handles the payment processing and the security; ProhostAI decides when a payment is owed and for how much.

Setup
Stripe connects through OAuth. Cleaners link their own Stripe accounts, so ProhostAI never holds anyone’s bank details.
Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
Search for Stripe and select Connect, then authorise on Stripe’s consent screen.
Set cleaning rates per property.
Invite your cleaners to link their own Stripe accounts, then enable autopay.

How does autopay know when to pay?
When a cleaner marks the job complete in ProhostAI, the payment goes at the rate configured for that property. There is no separate approval run unless you want one.
Do I hold my cleaners’ bank details?
No. Cleaners link their own Stripe accounts and control their own payout settings, so their banking details never reach you or ProhostAI.
Does every payment get recorded as an expense?
Yes, against the property the clean was for — which is what makes per-property costs accurate without anyone categorising transactions later.
Can different properties pay different rates?
Yes, and they should. Rates are configured per property, so a large house does not pay the same as a studio. Setting these before enabling autopay avoids most disputes.
Are there fees?
Stripe’s usual payment processing fees apply on your own Stripe account. Connecting Stripe to ProhostAI carries no separate charge.
How do I disconnect Stripe?
Open Settings → Connections in ProhostAI and disconnect it, or revoke ProhostAI from your Stripe account settings. Autopay stops immediately.
