Setup
Instagram connects through Meta’s OAuth against the professional account linked to your Facebook page.
Open ProhostAI and go to Settings → Connections.
Search for Instagram and select Connect.
Sign in with the Facebook account that manages the Instagram professional account and approve the permissions.
Send yourself a DM from another account to confirm it lands in the inbox.

Meta limits how long after a user’s last message a business can reply. Fast automatic answers are not just better service here — they keep the window open.
Story replies and mentions behave differently from direct messages under Meta’s rules, so not every interaction becomes an inbox thread.
